MARRAH DAVIS

Camara Davis. (Marrah) is a writer/producer from Detroit, Michigan, best known for his diverse storytelling, including writing assignments on BET and TVOne originals; Camara has worked on several projects for the networks, including four Christmas films. Camara is the ultimate collaborator and has expanded into writing television series, including creating the 2021 series, The Heaux Phase. A coming-of-age story of young 20 somethings finding their footing in life, discovering their sexuality, and looking fabulous in the process. He has also written on other episodes for two television shows currently in production.

With over 25 Feature films and Stage Plays to his credit as a writer, producer, and financier, Camara's projects have been distributed across various media platforms, including theatre, television, Redbox, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Pureflix, AllBlack, BET, TUBI, and many others. He is responsible for project development, casting, marketing, editing, production management and has sponsored an annual screenplay completion to highlight up-and-coming filmmakers in addition to his writing.

Camara Davis's storytelling derives from his unique background. One of 14 children, he has his Master's Degree in Public Justice, a Bachelor's in History and Communications. He's worked in Law Enforcement, Child Protective Services, radio, community organizing, and the arts. Camara's start in the entertainment industry began as a Hip hop artist and spoken word poet. His diverse career in the entertainment industry has allowed him to be associated with many experienced award-winning talents in music and Film, ensuring a quality result in whatever he partakes in.
